Santander province. Second Republic. Vega, a brave and determined young woman, must leave the land that has seen her grow and that she loves so much, the soft meadows of Vega de Pas, to work in Madrid. There she works as a breeding mistress for a wealthy bourgeois family. The Vaudelets' house, next to the Retiro Park, houses, in addition to the marriage, a large number of servants. All of them hide unspeakable secrets that they keep with suspicion. While Vega fights to break through and get used to life in the capital, the city of Madrid suffers from the beginning of the Civil War and breathes a rarefied atmosphere. Vega will live a great story, where love, jealousy and intrigue will always be present. The war will end the illusions and dreams of everyone and, especially, the pasiega, who will fight to save her loved ones under the shelter and shelter of the green meadows and the rugged mountains of the Valle de Pas.
