Tarantino
una retrospectiva
Shone, Tom
Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1963, Quentin Tarantino spent many Saturdays of his childhood accompanying his mother to the movies, fueling a love for movies that, over the course of his life, became increasingly absorbing. The script for his first movie took four years to complete; that of his second film, Reservoir Dogs (1992), took just under four weeks. When introduced, he was immediately hailed as one of the most exciting new directors in the industry. Known for their highly cinematic visual style, original narrative, and enormous violence, Tarantino's films have drawn praise and criticism throughout his career. He has also won a number of awards, including Oscar, Golden Globes, and BAFTA awards, generally for his screenplays.
