Changing schools is always scary, and even more so if you wear a giant hearing aid strapped to your chest! In her previous school, all of Cece's classmates were deaf, but in the new one she is the only one. Cece is sure the kids will reject her because of her Phonic Ear, the high-powered hearing aid that will help her hear her teacher. One day, she Cece discovers something amazing. With her new hearing aid, she not only hears the teacher in the classroom, but throughout the building, even in the bathroom! It's a real superpower. Thus begins Cece's transformation into SuperDeaf, the one who hears everything. But being a superhero is also another way to feel different... and alone. Will Cece be able to channel her powers into finding what she wants most, a true friend?
