Queralt, a psychologist by training, works at the Suicide Assistance Center (C.A.S.) number twelve, a body attached to the Social Security which regulates the suicide requests of its patients. Their job is to assess each case and act accordingly, often administering lethal drugs to those people who meet the appropriate requirements to hasten their death: terminal illnesses, chronic depression, family trauma... All in all, very simple and hygienic, if it weren't for the fact that one morning an unexpected file falls into his hands, which will force him to make drastic decisions and consider questions that will seriously affect his life. In an alternative and increasingly technological post-pandemic world, where suicide is controlled and promoted by public health, what value is given to people's lives? What happened to fighting ability? Why has this type of death become a major public health problem?
