Suaren froga
Urkizu, Patri
The tragic story of the reader begins in Zerain, a small town in Gipuzkoa, where our protagonist, Joanes López Zerain, was born in 1488, and his days in Granada ended in 1530, when he was burned at the stake in the Inquisition for writing Lutheran books. The author, after researching the ups and downs of the life of Joanes Lopez Zerain, invents other passages consistently and embedded at the time. He also invents encounters and conversations with some of our character's contemporaries (Desiderio Erasmo, Martin Azpilikueta, Ignacio Loyola, Miguel Egia, Luis Vives, and many others...). Patri Urkizu helps us to immerse ourselves in the Renaissance, full of light and darkness, which was so decisive for humanity, making room for his imagination and opening the doors to ours.
