Irigoien, Joan Mari

Joan Mari Irigoien brings us a new book of poetry: "Witch-light hunting". Like a travelogue, he gives the titles of the corners of the Canary Islands to the poems, but the substance has not so much to do with the corners there; in fact, the author brings us his deep concerns in the guise of poetry. On the one hand, in the first part of the book, there are what we can call social poems: the rejection of war and imperialism, the denunciation of all injustices, the outcry against the great. On the other hand, in the second part, he gives way to more spiritual poetry, and this desire is also reflected in the third part, which is located in Lei and tells about an enlightening experience.
