Sonetos al amigo de cuerpo y alma : primera parte
Shakespeare, William
Franco Aixelá, Javier
(ed.)
William Shakespeare's Sonnets were published in 1609 and are believed to be the fruit of years of intermittent dedication. Once again, the author himself was not responsible for the edition and it is not clear to what extent they appeared with his permission and in the order that he would have liked. From sonnet 18 to 126 we are offered a varied panorama of friendship and love desire, filled with fleeting joys from the encounter, persistent melancholy for the absence and outbursts of jealousy before rivals of all kinds, including the poet's own lover, probably the same one to which he will dedicate the cycle of the dark lady. In this volume we present the annotated prose and poetic translation of the sonnets 18-70, approximately half of this group.
