Soledad salvaje

Soledad salvaje

Henderson, Alice

Biologist Alex Carter, recently arrived at a nature reserve in Montana with the aim of studying curious mammals, the wolverines, is harassed by a car that drives her off the road and threatened by neighbors who want to force her to leave the territory. Determined to fulfill her mission to help save this endangered species, Ella Alex tracks the wolverines on foot and places cameras in remote areas of the reserve. But reviewing the photos, she discovers disturbing images of an animal of a different kind: a badly injured man who seems lost and wanders aimlessly through the wilderness. After several failed expeditions in search of the stranger, the local police insist on considering the case closed, arousing Alex's suspicions. Later, another invasive predator enters the reserve. The hunter turns out to be another human... and the coveted prey, the biologist herself. By the time Alex realizes she's seen too much, she's too late...she's stumbled upon a powerful illegal operation and has become her biggest threat. In this wild and dangerous territory, Alex's life depends on her staying one step ahead... using all of her knowledge of the animal world and what it takes to win the brutal battle for survival.
