Sirope

Sirope

Sala, J. M.

As much as he practices, Pete can't fill his syrup bottle. There are four days to go until the end of the year and all the Garden City teens practice nonstop for Graduation night. They watch movies to motivate themselves, meet in groups, practice with Instagram images, update their profiles. At this time of year their faces are full of pimples; the joints of his hands and arms suffer from so much production. Being a teenager sucks, but like any other student Pete knows the rules: everyone can be whatever they want when they grow up depending on how much syrup they make. This is why Graduation is so important. As the hours go by, rumors flood social networks. Some claim to have seen the Sharpener arriving in Garden City. Its edgy whistle cuts through the night looking for lagging teens. Pete knows what this means. If you can't make syrup, your life as a teenager will be over in four days. Syrup. Pornography and terror. Monsters and Lost Children. Creepypasta and Capitalism. Anxiety and Destruction.
