Shelter

Coben, Harlan

Mickey Bolitar's life can't get any worse. After witnessing the death of his father and having to admit his mother to a detoxification center, he is forced to live with his distant uncle Myron and change schools. Luckily, there he meets the brilliant Ashley, and it seems that things are going to get better. That's when Ashley disappears. In his search for his girl, Mickey discovers a whole dark world that reveals that Ashley is not who she said she was, and neither was her father. Soon Mickey discovers secrets and conspiracies that will change his life and make him question everything he thought he knew.
