Sed de amor

Mishima, Yukio

When, a few years after the end of World War II, Etsuko became a widow, she had to move to her father-in-law's farm, inland near Osaka. Her peculiar "thirst for love", nourished by jealousy, desire and hatred taken to a morbid extreme, will explore other ways of manifesting herself there. Although Etsuko will initially bow to the natural authority of the head of the family, it will finally be a young and naive servant who concentrates his obsessions and frustrations.
