May 1969. During the dinner that he celebrates once a month, the real estate tycoon Magdalon Schjelderup falls dead. Someone has thrown something on his plate and killed him. As the service staff was off that day, his executioner can only be one of the ten diners who accompanied him. All of them orbited around the powerful billionaire, and all of them had some reason to want to finish him off. It is a labyrinthine case for which Inspector Kristiansen cannot find a solution. Luckily, he has the unusual help of a young woman who barely leaves the house but has an amazing ability to solve enigmas.
