Miangolarratarren uberan
Zubizarreta, Patxi
Some people are familiar with Federico Krutwig's controversial and controversial work Vasconia (1962), but few know that it was promoted and financed by the philanthropist Paco Miangolarra, who had just returned from exile in Venezuela to the Northern Basque Country. Some people know the Herri Gogoa record company (1967-1981), or they know the albums recorded by Laboa, Lertxundi, Iriondo, Lete, Valverde... in the clandestine studio in Gros, but few people know that, with the help of Iñaki Beobide, Paco Miangolarra happened to be the patron of that project, in the first political as in the culture now.Donostia, Paris and Caracas will be connected by boats, warships and steamships, in the same way that Martin Ugalde, Carolina Herrera, Lezo Urreiztieta or María Callas can be connected by sea. Trying to get out of the waters of oblivion, this narrative based on interviews brings the amazing history of the Miangolarra Gorostiaga family, in Patxi Zubizarreta's usual beautiful style of writing. A siren song about exile and, inevitably, the village.
