Rutes pels despoblats del Penedès i l'Anoia

In this guide you will find 16 itineraries through the regions of Anoia, Alt Penedès, Baix Penedès and Garraf, in which the main objective is to visit an abandoned village. Elements that we now consider basic, such as running water and electricity, were lacking in many of these villages. In the vast majority there was no doctor or school either, and the roads were little paths that went through forests and mountains. The more "lucky" towns had a cart path that on rainy days got muddy and was impassable; that is why we are not surprised that the delight of many inhabitants of these rural centers was to go live in the place where there were all these services, which they did not have. It cannot be forgotten that behind these noisy rooms there was human warmth some time ago. In their memory, you must respect them and not damage them; the passing of the years already takes care of it, of doing its job.
