Rupturas
cómo superar el desgarro que produce una experiencia dolorosa
Marin, Claire
We would all like the ruptures, be they sentimental, family, professional or of any other kind, to be a sudden and clean cut, but in reality they are a constant tear, a long intimate work of liberation, distancing and emotional appeasement. We often have the feeling of not being who we are, of playing a role on the fringes of our own life, as if there were a curtain of fog that makes it bland, insipid, anodyne. The ruptures bring out this inner self and create the necessary conditions for the emergence and realization of our own identity. The philosopher Claire Marin explores in this book the different situations of rupture to which we can be exposed and shows us how we can turn them into a revulsion with which to reinvent our life. Because whether voluntary or involuntary, tragic or joyous, visible or invisible, ruptures mark our existence, transform us, and challenge us to explore ourselves deeply. For this reason, it is important that we learn to appease the violence of the feelings that ruptures provoke within us, tolerate them as an inevitable effect and progressively control them to assume our own identity. That is, to get out of them being stronger.
