Rondas del Prado

These Rondas del Prado propose a gradual and diverse approach to the work of art, to the most concrete of its material existence and also to its narrative, symbolic and liturgical values. The immediate and sensory experience of contemplation is thus linked to the examination of the cultural connections that the works had for their contemporaries and the way in which the artist's craft and the place of painting have been modified over the centuries, from the church or the palace, the public or private space, to the orderly and pedagogical, but also unifying, layout of the museum rooms.
