Revolució VilaWeb

The Palau Robert hosts the "Revolució VilaWeb" exhibition between May 19 and September 25, 2022. The exhibition explains the value that VilaWeb has had for journalism and society, from the perspective of twenty-seven years of history, a fact that places it among the oldest digital newspapers in the world and as the pioneer in the Catalan Countries . The internet revolution is technological but it has become social and has very strong implications in politics and the media. Over the course of this quarter of a century, VilaWeb has been able to build a strongly participatory model with readers and has established a sustainable economic model based on the support of more than 22,000 voluntary subscribers. This book is born from the exhibition and incorporates an extensive essay that reviews the newspaper's trajectory and reflects on how VilaWeb has influenced the media, always paving the way, and society.
