Our legal system articulates rules whose purpose is, essentially, the protection of victims and injured parties after a traffic accident. Through this guide, we will analyze the existing regulations and judicial decisions within the civil liability that is generated when an accident occurs. Likewise, and since obtaining fair compensation will depend on a correct assessment of the damages caused, according to what is commonly known as the "traffic scale", we analyze in detail the different gradual tables contained in the annex to the Law on civil liability and insurance in the circulation of motor vehicles, making explicit mention of the updates that we will have to take into account for those cases that arise throughout this year 2023.
