In the next decade we will face changes that we have never known before and we will do so with a disastrous inheritance: economic, environmental damage and with a social majority that has suffered a perpetual worsening of its material conditions since the crisis of 2008. The objective it is clear: rethink and modernize our economic and social model. For this, we need to find solutions that direct our gaze towards structural changes with a global impact. It is time to shake off the inertia and conservatism that have dominated political decisions in recent decades and bet on fresh ideas that open the windows to a future of economic and social progress. The present, and especially the future, cannot be faced with the same old policies of the past. And it is precisely in this scenario where basic income is emerging as one of the feasible measures that can offer solutions to the great challenges that we have to face in the 21st century.
