An invitation to discover the Catalan past of the island of Malta. Halfway between travel guide and essay, this work takes an exhaustive and documented tour of the Catalan imprint that has remained on the island of Malta today. Tracing the Catalan language and culture in this territory, the author investigates links that extend over more than five hundred years of history that can still be clearly and abundantly detected on the ground: both in the field of toponymy and the lexicon as well as in that of cuisine, folklore, architecture and military engineering, religiosity or trade, among others.
