Rastros de ceniza

The clothes of the few children who play in the streets of Lanca no longer smell of smoke. The eternal fog of the region is only a memory. Closed towers, abandoned mines... That's all that's left: emptiness and bankruptcies. But one morning the mayor appears hanged on the steps of the town hall and rumors begin in the town: prevarications, embezzlement, cronyism, complicit silences. In a word: corruption. And in Lanca everyone knows it. This story where the local is global will be told by Aurora Montes, a young journalist who oscillates between the perplexity caused by the abrupt death of the mayor and the impotence of witnessing the extinction of her own world: that of the noisy, scoundrel and cheerful mining basin. A strange death, unscrupulous leaders, screams in the prisons of other times, junkies, cleaning ladies, reporters, mining orphanages, abandoned train tracks, secret loves, ingots of pomace at the foot of the barricade and a town, Lanca, whose inhabitants always lose trapped between a future that has not just arrived and a past that does not finish leaving.
