¿Quo vadis, Europa?

The question "Quo vadis?" it has a special significance in the process of European integration. The reason is simple: unlike national political groupings that have their roots in myths and foundational values (a people, a destination, some symbolic historical events), the European project (eminently political and cultural) has been deliberately imagined as a journey, an adventure, and not like a building with defined contours and functions. In raising this question, it is not simply a question of asking about the fate of a known project or object, but of questioning the very essence of the European Union. That is why the question is essential. That is why, too, we must, here and now (which will not exempt others from having to do it again later), answer this question.
