In 1918, at a party at the Montgomery (Alabama) country club, they met Francis Scott Fitzgerald, the young writer, and Zelda Sayre, a southern beauty far removed from the timid image of the women of her time: bold, original and intelligent, he would go on to become an icon of the 1920s. The couple married in New York in 1920, a week after the publication of Scott's first novel, This Side of Paradise, which sold out in three days. With this resounding success, they began a relationship marked by celebrity, excesses, his addiction to alcohol and her journey through different psychiatric institutions. Eccentric and hedonistic, they pushed an erratic and wild love to the limit.
