This volume brings together the first short stories by William Gibson, originally published in anthologies and specialized magazines. Most of them were nominated for the main awards of the genre (Hugo, Nebula, Locus). Two of these stories, "Burning Chrome" and "Johnny Mnemonic" are set in the same universe as Neuromancer, which will become the aesthetic and technological benchmark of the cyberpunk movement.
