Puedes hacerme lo que quieras
Gane, Miguel
In 1974, the Serbian artist Marina Abramovic placed seventy-two objects around her body divided into two categories: objects of pleasure and objects of pain. She then invited the public to use them on her body, thus becoming another object. The purpose was to observe human behavior in the face of helplessness. They say that Abramovic was on the verge of losing his life. After all, the easy thing was always to hurt. At the end of the day, the difficult thing is always to love. Saying you can do whatever you want to me is an invitation to harm, but it is also a gesture of blind trust, that is, of dedication. With the common thread of that staging, Miguel Gane, one of the most read poets of his generation, reflects on the people who own our hearts, on how, through love, we put ourselves in the hands of others to such a point of that whoever heals you also ends up hurting you.
