Proso Modo

In full confinement, the poet Jordi Coboia receives a call from an old friend, Quim, who commissions him to write a book for his publishing house on "the political and social affairs of Catalonia". Proso Modo, a novel that in a certain way is in permanent construction, thus stands as an excuse like any other to joyfully reflect not only on the always agitated act of writing, but also on the origins of a country, the servitudes of the world of the culture or the betrayals that the years inevitably impose. With a style as fluent as it is casual, Juan Carlos Elijas offers a long-winded story, in which readers can see themselves reflected in a grimace of sadness or joy.
