Aristóteles

A basic aspect of Aristotle's practical philosophy is his political theories, which are largely set out in the eight books that make up the Politics. The work, which was possibly made up of different treatises, is based on two fundamental ideas: sociability is an essential feature of human nature and the purpose to which man tends is the political community. These are the two pillars around which the philosopher from Estagira analyzes the family, the city, the State and the constitutions, proposing various ideal models. It is a complex and capital work that raises many issues and problems, and that this edition with its introduction and its excellent annotated translation aims to clarify.
