This is a police story, starring the Mossos d'Esquadra and set in the turbulent times of Olympic Barcelona. The tragic death of a fourteen-year-old girl, Melody Coughran, daughter of a famous car driver in California, is the point of connection between members of the Anti-Drug Brigade of the Catalan Autonomous Police and the American mob in a investigation to dismantle a drug counterfeiting network. In order to solve the case, the Catalan agents will collaborate with Lou Díaz, an atypical and extravagant American researcher and old acquaintance of the Mossos corps, who has just arrived in Barcelona. A plot about drug trafficking and organized crime, but also about medical malpractice, forgery of documents or the capture and trafficking of minors, where violence and frantic persecution are the order of the day. A novel in homage to the origins and skills of our police force, in the style of Ed McBain, with a fast-paced plot and a series of cunning and fertile characters when it comes to playing with the nerves of readers.
