Poesía de los siglos XVI y XVII
Ruiz Pérez, Pedro
(ed.)
Between the immediate precedents of Garcilaso and the somewhat twilight radiance of Sor Juana, the most considered poetry in terms of canon in the Hispanic tradition is developed, the "golden lyric". The anthology aims to give an account of it in a perspective as renewed as the dialogue between the critical tradition and recent lines of study allows, from print culture to feminism, from cultural studies to new historicism, from the composition of the poetry book. to that of the authorial image. The structure of the study combines some keys to the development of poetry over two centuries and its articulation in an internal chronology of the genre, complementing the organization of the texts by authors. For these, a certain breadth has been chosen, to present a sufficiently representative and useful panorama for the contextualization of the great milestones. The compositions are accompanied by a synthetic presentation and a minimum of notes for the literal understanding of the text. Altogether, a selection of poems valid for a modern reading and the elements for a philological appreciation of its history and literary significance are offered.
