In the poetry of the 20th century, the name of Marianne Moore occupies an essential place. Perhaps she is she, after Emily Dickinson, the most radical poet that American letters have produced. A generation partner of Wallace Stevens or William Carlos Williams, Moore managed to create a poetic universe, both in substance and in form, very different from what had been done up to then.
