This edition collects the entire corpus of Klee's poetic work, from the various German editions (and reissues) in which it was expanded over time. It can also be said that here presented is his "secret" work, given that none of these texts -written in a very irregular way, more abundant on some dates and almost non-existent on others- was published during the artist's lifetime. He died early in 1940, Klee's first poems were published six years later in a small anthology by Carola Giedion-Welker and later, in 1960, his son Félix brought together a first set of the texts that were then known to him , which he expanded again some time later, also reproducing, along with them, some handwritten poetry and some drawings by his father.
