In the first half of the 16th century, a handful of Spaniards conquered the South American continent. Leading them was Francisco Pizarro, and no one would have thought they stood a chance: the terrain before them was dominated by the relentless Andes and defended by tens of thousands of soldiers belonging to the Inca Empire.
