Miren Egigurenen puskak
Ibarguren, Leire
An old shoe box, and inside, black and white photos, yellowed newspaper clippings, DVDs, color photos. A whole life can fit in that shoebox of the Bidanian Miren Egiguren, and starting from these pieces he has told his life to Leire Ibarguren. These are all his possessions, the only ones he brought from the capital of Venezuela. After spending more than forty years in the poorest neighborhood of Caracas, there are certainly more that Miren left there: an entire community, and everything that was built side by side with that community and with great determination: kindergartens and schools, water system, workshops for families, food cooperative, bakery... At the base of all this work, the importance of organizing in collaboration prevails in all areas, looking at cooperation from the perspective of networking. This book brings us the voice of an energetic and humorous woman, accompanied by the tunes of the lifestyle of the slums in the mountains of Caracas. Through the pieces of Mirentxu's life, the fabric of a whole community has been stitched in fine stitches, perfect for wearing new epics.
