Perla

tres caras de un viaje poético

Lapeña, Carlos

Perla is the poetic journey carried out by the writer Carlos Lapeña Morón in the last six years -from 2016 to 2022-, resulting in three different works, but at the same time aesthetically and literaryly related through the life and feelings of its author. The first part, "Not me", is divided into two poetic groups: "To talk about me" and "The voice of the poem". They talk about the world before and after the coronavirus, following the social dimension and the collective character of the life of the author's previous works. It is illustrated by the engraver and illustrator Fernando Ferro. In "Diario de Une", the second part, he expresses a family and personal dimension through a heteronym, Epiro Dódona, a person in his twenties who defines himself as non-binary, to reflect on his identity, his body, his environment and his family. This part is illustrated by the tattoo artist and illustrator Raquel F. Sáez. It closes and gives its name to the book "Perla", which shows the citizen part of this trip, with the protagonist being the city where the author has lived and worked for decades, Parla, with its lights and shadows. The painter Eugenio Ayllón illustrates this last part and the cover of the book.
