No one has seen the heroic nurse Annette (Little Beetle) since the war ended. She is a heroine of the "Rochambelle", a unit integrated into General Leclerc's 2nd Armored Division. Five years later, the Paris police headquarters is at boiling point, as Commissioner Vercorian is hot on the heels of society's enemy number one, René La Canne. When an old war buddy from the 2nd Division asks for his help in finding Annette, Vercorian turns the matter over to his son, Atom, praising her merits. Tired of infidelity cases, the Atom Agency detectives reluctantly jump into the case of the missing war veteran.
