Pau Robert i Rabadà

Owner of republican ideology, he presided over the Society of Agricultural Workers several times, with a clear concern for the secular and agricultural school administered by the said society. In 1909, with a solidary candidacy, he won the municipal elections, reversing the previous monarchical tendency. In 1918 he took over the construction of the cooperative winery of the Vila-rodona Agricultural Union, the work of the architect Cèsar Martinell and the engineer Isidre Campllonch, inaugurated in 1919. He took part in various agricultural organizations, such as the Unió de Vinyaters -a union that defended the wine interests, as well as the persecution of wine adulterations and illegal sale- and the Agricultural Federation of the Alt Camp de Tarragona -formed by entities and agricultural unions in the region-. In 1921 he was elected provincial and Mancomunitat de Catalunya deputy by a nationalist and republican coalition. And in 1923 he ran in the parliamentary elections in the Cortes, but was not elected.
