Lea, the protagonist of this book, spends Friday afternoons with her grandfather, a doorman in a building. He is worried about his work, and he is also afraid that the neighbors will see his granddaughter and think that he neglects his tasks to take care of her. Lea, while her grandfather works, is dedicated to observing the clotheslines of the interior patio and imagining who will live on which floor. Despite her grandfather's warnings, and unable to contain her curiosity, Lea ends up meeting the neighbors of the building, and realizing that things are not always what they seem.
