Pati de veïns
LVII Premi Recull de Narració Joaquim Ruyra, 2021
Vinent, Àngela
An interior block in Barcelona's Eixample de Cerdà is transformed into a scene of shared experiences during the months of mandatory confinement due to covid-19. The pandemic creates the opportunity to explore unique and unrepeatable moments. Terraces, patios, balconies and rooftops overflow with unusual activity. Inside, a whole world emerges from the everyday intimacies of the people who inhabit them. Observing her surroundings with a prying eye allows Àngela Vinent to enter other people's houses without permission. Intuit or capture sadness and joy, bitter loneliness, misunderstood relationships, drowsy existences, painful impostures or sweet love stories.
