Old age is one of the greatest challenges facing our society. We are living longer and longer and have fewer children. This demographic change, as well as the transformation of our lifestyle and forms of coexistence, has increased the gap between generations, isolation and loneliness at a time when maturity is experienced in a very different way than we knew it. There is no longer a single old age, but it goes through different stages, which entails a new way of understanding aging. Building a community based on care will be a decisive and necessary objective when facing this major challenge. Should we sacrifice our vital project to take care of our elders? Who and how will take care of us if we do not have children or live far from us? Will we have to continue working in old age? Do we need a personal and collective project to face this stage of life?
