Pascal Comelade, l'argot del soroll
Putx, Donat
Pascal Comelade is an enigma and a myth. Born in Montpellier in 1955 and a Catalan from the north, Comelade has created a unique musical world between France, northern Catalonia and the Principality, with branches in other European countries and Japan. Its use of toy instruments is characteristic. In addition to numerous albums and hundreds of concerts on stages across Europe, he has written music for film, dance and theater. He has recorded with musicians such as P.J. Harvey, Robert Wyatt, Sisa or Xarim Arrested. The journalist Donat Putx brings to the reader the rich artistic imaginary of this "magician of the north", focusing on personal aspects, including his long stays in Barcelona in the seventies as a guest of Lluís Llach, and in the eighties in Gràcia, where he makes contact with the local underwater and the poet Enric Casasses. He starred in the 2019 La Mercè concert in front of the Cathedral and will announce his farewell from the stages.
