Earth, the original planet, exploded just over ten thousand years ago. At that time, man had already begun his journey through space. In this new Era, war and peace are elements of the same balance that are carefully balanced from La Colonia, the scientific enclave par excellence. From there, the controller Maralda Tardes detects war activity on a planet far from any commercial route, and decides to initiate a standard inspection protocol. Meanwhile, Ferdinard and Malhereux, two young scrap dealers, wait patiently in the subsoil of said planet for the war to end on the surface to loot the remains of the battle and extract a succulent profit. Amongst the wreckage of the battle they find a strange artifact that appears to belong to an ancient and unknown civilization and is being pursued by vicious Sarlab mercenaries and Colony scientists alike. Little do Mal and Fer know that what they have in their possession could be the key to unleashing a threat older than the galaxy.
