Atapuerca, Orce, Cueva Negra and chasm of the Palomas del Cabezo Gordo, basin of Baza, Maltravieso, Sierra Magina, Zafarraya, Ardales and chasm of the Palomas of Teba, La Araña, Lozoya valley, Doñana... The Iberian peninsula has a great protagonist in the history of human evolution. Its geographical position as a bridge between two continents (Africa and Europe), its orography and rich biodiversity, have been key in the life of the hominids that occupied it, being in itself a natural laboratory of coexistence, competition, adaptations, extinctions or manifestations cultures of different species of the genus Homo. In this work, such interesting and exciting topics are collected such as the African origin of the Iberian settlements and the entry steps of these first populations; the character of the Neanderthals, their extinction and/or integration, their artistic, conceptual, symbolic-ideological capacity... This book brings us closer to the life of the first settlers of the peninsula: their day to day, their beliefs , their artistic manifestations, their food or their relationships are some of the aspects that are discussed.
