Palabra de judío

Gironell, Martí

The master builder Pere Baró is commissioned by the royal town of Besalú to rebuild the bridge built three hundred years ago by the builder Primo Llombard. A flood has destroyed it and puts the expansion and commercial position of the city at risk. A young Jewish man, Kim, a descendant of the Llombards, finds a way to participate in the works, which will be stopped for reasons that he will be forced to investigate. A medieval and vital adventure starring Kim and Ester, a Christian girl who works in Barcelona between the Almoina hospital and the Jewish quarter. With them we will see how Jews and Christians live their complex reality while we immerse ourselves in the customs of the 14th century. The power of words, the strength of convictions, love and respect as basic ingredients to build a bridge of understanding between the two religions. A company that will not be easy at all because they will find people on one side and the other who are willing to prevent it.
