Nick and Anna work together at their hometown movie theater during a hot summer. Anna is mysterious, beautiful and belongs to a world very different from Nick's: she is one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Which doesn't stop him from falling madly in love with her. Anna has grown up preparing for the end of the world, but with Nick her life is filled with music and poetry. However, the fear of giving up everything she believes in and her loved ones forces her to turn away from him and accept a fate that she is no longer sure to want. Years later, they meet again and discover that time has not changed how they feel. But will they be able to arm themselves with courage or will they have to definitively forget the love they let slip away?
