Os seres queridos

Five years after being a mother, the protagonist of this novel is unexpectedly in the dilemma of deciding whether or not she wants to be a mother again. The painful memory of the first year of raising her child gives her back a reflection of the experience that is not easy to fit, crossed by guilt and remorse. From the story of the last weeks of the year, where family reunions are mixed with sudden events, the narrator tells us about the family and the couple, the ties that are not chosen, but also about mourning, friendship and the ability of literature to collect that which is hard for us to name.
