Operación Ogro

Operación Ogro

hechos y construcción del mito

Egaña, Iñaki

Half a century has passed since ETA's Txikia commando perpetrated the tyrannicide of the president of the Francoist Government, Admiral Luis Carrero Blanco. The attack had an extraordinary impact, both for its execution and for the figure of the victim. For decades, the details of the gestation and death of the admiral, Franco's dolphin, were subordinated to the book written months later by its authors, Operation Ogre. Now, 50 years later, new revelations allow us to reconstruct what the tyrannicide was like, revealing issues that, for obvious reasons, were hidden at the time. Likewise, this book addresses the treatment of the story about that event and its transformation into a historical myth.
