Ocnos ; Variaciones sobre tema mexicano
Cernuda, Luis
Talens, Jenaro
(ed.)
"Reality and Desire", as the work closes and concludes, it encloses within itself the explanatory keys of its own world, so that, despite accepting that this is the expression, everything rhetorically mediated as it wishes, from a first-person experience (what writing, on the other hand, is it not?), we would not be dealing with a life, but the "story" of a life, that is, a discursive construction that would not need the Luis Cernuda's civic existence to be understood and explained. The reading that this edition seeks to offer from "Ocnos" (1942) and "Variations on a Mexican theme" (1952), therefore, takes as a starting point a non-denominational approach to the internal logic of the Cernudian poetic work, to the point to consider that both collections are part, structurally speaking, of "The Reality and the Desire", although editorially they have never been considered as such.
