Obscuritas
el primer caso de Rekke y Vargas
Lagercrantz, David
Summer 2003. In Hässelby, on the outskirts of Stockholm, the lifeless body of a soccer referee is found. Giuseppe Costa, father of one of the players in the last match in which he participated, is arrested for the crime. The case seems clear, but Costa refuses to admit to the murder. When there are no strings left to pull, the Head of Homicide decides to turn to Professor Hans Rekke, a world expert in interrogation techniques, who will try to get him to confess to the crime. However, Costa is released and the case is closed unsolved. Only Micaela Vargas, a young police officer recently joined the team, refuses to let the investigation fall into oblivion. When they meet again some time later, Rekke, an aristocrat with connections to high places, and Micaela, the daughter of Chilean immigrants and a connoisseur of Stockholm's underworld, will decide to resume the investigation and solve a case that hides much more than anyone knows could have imagined.
