Year 146 BC Scipio Emiliano has just defeated the Carthaginian might forever. However, his return to Rome to celebrate his triumph is not as expected. The senatorial families have unleashed their ambition and all of them embark on a tireless struggle for power in which nothing and no one will be respected. Meanwhile, the center of military operations moves to Hispania, where the Lusitanian rebel Viriato humiliates the legions and where the enormous fires of the Celtiberian rebellion and the extraordinary and epic resistance of an irreducible city rise: Numantia.
