Legend haunts Sophie Fevvers, a proud and elusive world-famous Cockney acrobat: she claims to have been hatched from an egg and it is rumored that the wings she wears in her show are authentic, and that even her bones are hollow like those of birds. How else could someone so big be a trapeze artist? Attracted by the halo of mystery that surrounds Sophie, and willing to unmask her if necessary, journalist Jack Walser interviews her when the circus she works for is visiting London. After meeting her, captivated by her charisma, Jack will decide to pursue her throughout Europe, on a journey that will lead them to Saint Petersburg and Siberia. What is true and what is false in Fevvers? Is it necessary to go to the end of the world to meet the flesh and blood woman who hides behind the glitz and glamor of the stage? The truth, however, can sometimes be much more surprising than one expects.
